Staff Assistant at the Planning Department (A5)
As a staff assistant at the planning department (A5), you will be part of a solution-oriented team that supports the C F 16 planning work to achieve tactically desirable effects. As part of the department, you will learn a lot about how an air wing operates and have the opportunity to build a large network both within and outside the unit. This can be an advantage for you if you are interested in furthering your education within the Armed Forces (FM) to become a specialist officer or officer.
About the Unit
The Wing Staff is the unit that prepares and orders the commanding officer's assignments to directly subordinate units. The main tasks of the planning department are primarily to work with long-term planning and coordinate the unit's development over the long term. The department regularly leads planning work, with participants from other departments within the wing staff and the units involved in the unit. The department has a close internal collaboration where great importance is placed on well-being and a good working atmosphere.
Main Responsibilities
- supports planning and implementation
- provides administrative support such as: orders, shopping carts, bookings, taking minutes, etc.
- prepares materials for C A5
- supports collaboration between other departments within the wing staff
- is part of the staff in the combat unit and should be able to act in the role of staff assistant and report receiver.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Approved military service or basic military training
- Good experience with MS Office

DESIRABLE
- Driver's license B
- Relevant experience from the Armed Forces, preferably the Air Force
- Service within staff or management group
- Knowledge of the SAP/PRIO system.

Employment type: Fixed-term employment according to the GSS/K agreement (8 + 4 years) which may start with a 6-month probationary period.
Employment rate: Full-time.
Work location: Uppsala.
Salary: We apply individual salary setting.
Start date: As soon as possible or by agreement.

Information about the Armed Forces and the recruiting unit:
Uppland Air Wing, F 16, is headquartered at Uppsala Garrison. The unit is part of the Swedish Air Force and is responsible for the operation and surveillance of Uppsala Airport as well as training conscripts in various positions within the Air Force. The unit also leads the 161st Combat Control and Air Surveillance Battalion, which directs combat aircraft in the air and maintains continuous surveillance of Swedish airspace. The unit operates from several locations across the country and constitutes an important part of the growth period that the Air Force is facing.
